Announcing the TVTU 2025 Online Fundraising Action

The TVTU 2025 Online Fundraising Action has over 55 items including rods, reels, flies and fly boxes, fishing equipment, books, and home accessories.

Online bidding <http://go.tulocalevents.org/tvtu2025-auction> runs from October 1 to November 7, 2025.

Auction items include:

  • 11 rods ranging from a Lamiglas CST 14’ 10/11 WT Spey Rod, STH 8910 Reel, and line combination (buy now at $250) to a Sage GFL/DS 5 WT 8’6″ 2-piece w/ sock and tube (buy now at $150), to Scott G2 5 WT 8′ 8″ 4-piece (2.8 oz) w/ sock and tube (buy now at $450.
  • 8 reels (e.g., Tioga with 4 separate spools, Okuma Inspira (IS 40) Spinning Reel, and Reddington RS2 7-8).
  • Various flies and fly boxes
  • Fishing clothing, nets, gadgets, books, and home accessories

Starting bids are typically $10, but there are no “minimum bids” to “win” an item. Also, BUY NOW amounts are set on all items. All items must go!

The auction is a great opportunity to shop for holiday gifts.

Note:

All items won through online bidding will be available for pickup at the November 12, 2025, TVTU chapter meeting from 6-8pm at the Old Market Pub, 6959 SW Multnomah Blvd, Portland, OR 97223.

Please note: WINNING BIDS will be processed via our STRIPE ACCOUNT with the OPTIONAL Platform feed being added to the amount (credit/debit or Apple Pay ONLY).

If you are unable to attend and collect your item(s) in person, shipping and handling fees will apply and must be paid in full prior to shipment. Shipping costs will vary based on item size, weight, and destination. For larger and bulkier items, handling fees may include packaging and administrative costs.

Failure to arrange payment for shipping within 14 days may result in forfeiture of the item.

For nearly 30 years the Tualatin Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited (TVTU) has been a very active and successful chapter dedicated to Trout Unlimited’s mission to conserve, protect, and restore coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. To learn more see About Us.

Our Monthly Meetings

Our well-attended monthly meetings have featured a wide variety of speakers covering an excellent mix of fishing and conservation topics. Our enhanced IT capabilities have allowed us to provide Zoom broadcast and recording of meeting presentations to better serve and engage our over 500 members, no matter where they live and what their schedules are. In addition, we have a monthly newsletter that is sent via email to over 700 members and supporters.

We Support Other Conservation Organizations

We support many other conservation organizations through financial contributions including the TU Salmon Superhighway. In particular, we are very pleased to join with the Native Fish Society in offering Wild Fish For All Academic Scholarships for students in Fisheries Conservation. Our Facebook page, followed by over 630 people, includes our monthly newsletter.
We also advertise through our newsletter and Facebook page many Volunteer Conservation Opportunities throughout Oregon and the Pacific NW that were organized by the Native Fish Society, Tualatin River Watershed Council, Tualatin Riverkeepers, Clackamas River TU Chapter and Basin Council, Friends of Trees, and Clean Water Services!

Educational and Conservation Events

Chapter members have helped with various educational and conservation events such as those othered offered by the Tualatin River Keepers and Clackamas River Trout Unlimited Chapter.
