End of C4C

Over the last 12 years the Christmas for Coho (C4C) program has been both environmentally and financially successful. Over 3,000 trees have been placed in the Tualatin Valley, Clackamas River and Necanicum River watersheds to benefit wild and native salmon, sea run trout, and steelhead. In 2023 alone we collected over 350 trees and $4000 in donations.

The dedication of the Tualatin Valley Chapter, the Clackamas River Chapter and community members has been the reason for C4C’s success. Mike Gentry has managed all of the C4C logistics for years but is now ready to cut back on his various nonprofit duties. Unfortunately, we have not been able to overcome the three GO/NO GO challenges to continuing C4C: Storage of Trees, Transportation of Trees, and Volunteers to Load and Unload the Trees. Therefore, it is with regret, but sincere appreciation to Mike and all the TU and community members who have made C4C a success for all these years, that we have decided to end C4C.
