Welcome to The Trout Line Newsletter! This is our Tualatin Valley Trout Unlimited Chapter newsletter that will be coming out twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.

It has been a challenging time for all of us for the last two years.  In an effort to reach back to a better time I traveled to a favorite fishing spot that I hadn't been to in too long a time.  Upon arriving on September 20 I was greeted by a reminder of good times and great friends.  Here are two pictures from Gold Lake, OR.  



The first is a picture of the second generation of the sign that TVTU purchased to post at this site as it was one of the first designated "fly fishing only" waters in Oregon.  The first generation of the sign was posted before I became active with TVTU.  When I saw that sign it had suffered the ravages of many seasons and a few misplaced rounds of ammunition.  The picture is of the sign that replaced the damaged one and still stands as a reminder of the regulations and our association with this delightful spot.  

The second shot is from Campsite #7 looking at the lake just before the evening rise.  With reassurance that the fishing had been great the day before I launched for a few hours of fun.  I had no problem "keeping 'em wet" that day.  In fact the fish managed to stay wet in spite of my efforts to disrupt their peace!!  Who hasn't heard, "You should have been here yesterday."?  

I enjoyed the chance to be there.  

It is good to be back outdoors. 

  New Chapter Meeting Location?
 
While our current meeting location at the Lucky Lab has worked out well, the upstairs location has become problematic for some of our members.  So we’re keeping our eyes open for suggestions for a change of location.  Here is the wish list, in order of priority aspects:
 

• A ground level spot
• A private room or isolated section that will accommodate forty to fifty people
• A location on the west side, ideally within ten miles of Lucky Lab
• Food and beverage availability
• A video screen or a wall accommodating a video presentation

If you have any suggestions, please let Mike Gentry and Lori Day know (  michaelgentry04@comcast.net; loriday@usa.net) and we’ll check them out. 

Notice of TVTU Annual Chapter Members Meeting
