Heppell, Gerald 'Jerry' Ernest 79 - Dec. 19, 1936 June 05, 2016

Tualatin Valley Trout Unlimited lost a dear friend recently.  Jerry was an active member, a member of the board, a true friend and a delightful gentleman.  I am going to teach my son to make an omelet on a camp stove with a freezer baggie this weekend.  Thanks, Jerry.  Editor, JL

Jerry Heppell, born in Seattle to Ernest and Ruth Heppell, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, in his sleep in Tigard, at the age of 79. After graduating in chemistry from the University of Washington and with a Ph.D. from UCLA, he took a memorable postdoctoral fellowship in Sweden. Before returning to the U.S., he and his wife traveled and camped for seven months in Europe. He later earned an M.B.A. from the University of Portland. Jerry had a long career in the high-tech industry at DuPont, Tektronix and HP. He enjoyed fishing (especially with his sons), camping and extensive travel with family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna; brother, James; sons, Kevin and Scott; and grandson, Dylan.
